January 9, 2011 - DAILY PRAYER - DEVOTIONAL

January 9, 2011

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, precious Lord, hear my prayer. Thank You, my Heavenly Father, for Your wonderful blessings. Thank You for Your mighty works. Thank You for all that You have made and for making me, Your child. Thank You for providing a way for all of Your children to live in eternity with You forever through Jesus Christ, Your only begotten Son. Today I lift up my family, friends, and all those who read this - that You will answer all of our prayers, and put a hedge of protection of Holy Angels around all of us. For those who are hurting, give them comfort, Lord. For all those who are lost and feel alone, fill them with your undying Love. For all those who are suffering in ways that only You can understand, heal them Lord and give them Peace. In JESUS' HOLY NAME I PRAY. AMEN.

JOB 30:15-17 (NIV)
15 Terrors overwhelm me; my dignity is driven away as by the wind, my safety vanishes like a cloud.
16 “And now my life ebbs away; days of suffering grip me.
17 Night pierces my bones; my gnawing pains never rest.

PSALM 119:49-50 (NIV)
49 Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
50 My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.

ROMANS 5:2-4 (NIV)
2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[a] boast in the hope of the glory of God.
3 Not only so, but we[b] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear Lord, hear my prayer.

My precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, thank you for this beautiful day, I give you all the praise and glory for all that YOU have made.  Today is the first day of the rest of my life.  Today is one day closer to eternity with You in Heaven.  Today is precious and worth living, because I have YOU with me and beside me every step of the way.  I ask YOU to put a hedge of protection of Holy Angels around my friends and family and all those who read this prayer, Lord, and I lift up all of their prayers and petitions up to YOU to the realms of Heaven, and I put all of my Faith and Trust in YOU, my rock and my salvation.  AMEN.

PSALM 17:5-7 (NIV)
5 My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not stumbled.
6 I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
7 Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.

MARK 11:24(NIV)
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

January 7, 2011

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear Lord, hear my prayer.

My precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, thank you for this beautiful day, I give you all the praise and glory for all that YOU have made.  Thank You for providing for all of my needs today.  I have a place to live, a warm bed to sleep in, food to eat, clothes on my back, and a good job.  That's more than most people have in this world.  Help me to be selfless and humble before You - remembering that there is always someone less fortuntate than I am, and someone who needs more than I do.  Give me a generous and compassionate heart and the desire to do something nice for someone else.  AMEN.

PSALM 25:8-10 (NIV)8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. 9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.

EPHESIANS 4:2-3 (NIV)

2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear Lord, hear my prayer.
My precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, thank you for this beautiful day, I give you all the praise and glory for all that YOU have made.  From the beautiful snow on the mountains to the vast array of colors in the sunrise this morning, it is all good and I am truly blessed.  Help me to stay focused on YOU today and not the troubles of this world.  Fill me with joy and peace and thankfulness - not of the things that men have made, but instead, for the quietness of the forest, the tranquility of the flowing rivers, the artistic canvas of the sunrise and sunset, and the precious life in all of your creation - I also thank You from the depths of my soul for all that You have provided for me and for all that You continue to provide for me every day of my life.  Even more, I am truly thankful for the salvation that You have freely given, so that I may dwell in Heaven with You forever.  AMEN.

NEHEMIAH 9:6 (NIV)
6 You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.

PHILIPPIANS 3:19-21 (NIV)
19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

My precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, thank you for this beautiful day, I give you all the praise and glory for all that YOU have made.  Thank you for your endless blessings and boundless mercy.  As I walk through this day, be it good or bad, please walk beside me, guide me, and send your Holy Angels to protect me and my family from all evil.  Carry me when I am weak.  Today, I offer myself as a living sacrifice for You, Lord.  Help me to be strong in my Faith, forgiving in my heart towards all who come against me, and give me diligent hands to work for You, my rock and my salvation, in whom in Trust.  AMEN.

PSALM 18:1-3 (NIV)

2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield[b] and the horn[c] of my salvation, my stronghold.

3 I called to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.

ROMANS 12:1-2 (NIV)
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

4 We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.
5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear Lord, hear my prayer.

My precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, thank You for this day, so that I may see Your glory in the beautiful sunrise and sunset - thank You for this Life that You have blessed me with - through the ups and downs - the good and the bad - the deaths and the devastations - You are with me, my strength and my redeemer.  Thank You for my children and my family.  Thank you for providing for all of my needs.  Thank You for delivering me from all evil.

My soul belongs to You - above all, thank You for saving me from my sins, so that I may dwell in Your presence in eternity forever and ever.  AMEN.

PSALM 23
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

1 PETER 1:3-5
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,
5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

DEVOTED TO YOU

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear Lord, hear my prayer.

My precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as I start this New Year, help me to stay focused on You.  Help me to stay true to Your Word and true to the calling You have given me.  Give me the strength to do Your Will in my life and not my own.  Give me the wisdom to discern the spirits, from right and wrong.  Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and keep my eyes focused on You today and every day.  In Your Holy Name, I pray.  AMEN.

PSALMS 1
1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

PROVERBS 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools[c] despise wisdom and instruction.

JOHN 1-5
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
